A fourth suspect is now behind bars in connection with one of Jacksonville's most disturbing cold cases — a contract killing on the city's Northside that left two men dead and exposed a chilling underworld of gang-ordered violence.

Jamaal Hameen, 31, faces two counts of second-degree murder and one count of accessory after the fact, deepening a case that has rattled the Northside community since the fall of 2023.

What makes this case especially disturbing is what investigators say drove it — a $20,000 gang-related hit placed on a 19-year-old.

Antonio Tillie Jr. and Bryant Grund lost their lives on Kylan Drive off Moncrief Road on an October evening that would trigger years of investigation, arrests, and courtroom proceedings.

Grund, who was behind the wheel as an Uber driver that night, was not the intended target — he simply happened to be the one driving Tillie when the ambush occurred.

According to investigators, a co-defendant lured Tillie to the location, where another suspect allegedly carried out the shooting and collected a portion of the bounty — roughly half of the $20,000 tied to the gang-related shooting.

Hameen was already in custody on unrelated charges when authorities secured his arrest in the double homicide case, adding a fourth name to a list of defendants now linked to one of the Northside's most high-profile gang-related cases in recent memory.
